This condo was a challenge in space planning. The clients really wanted their property maximized. They had several important requirements when it came to the planning of their home.
First, was that the existing master bedroom needed to be split into 3 spaces: the master bedroom, the kids' bedroom, and a walk-in closet. We accomplished all these, with precision measurements and style.
Second, they wanted a space where the helper could sleep. We managed this by putting a wall bed between the living and dining areas. This bed looks like a cabinet by day, but folds down into a bed when needed.
Third, they wanted a foyer, a shoe storage area, and a breakfast counter with a wine bar. We fit all these in, with the storage for the shoes hidden under the banquette dining seats but accessible at the foyer.
Fourth, they wanted a floor to ceiling book shelf, and we made it into one of the feature walls of the project.
For the style, we mixed a bit of rustic elements and a bit of luxe elements, and turned this condo into something that is very stylish, but also very comfortable to live in for a family of 4.
